After 3 years and 4 months (1228 total days), Tartarus has finally been dethroned as my hardest demon, and what a level to overtake it.
This is one of the most incredibly designed levels in GD history. It captures the intensity of what it wants almost TOO well. I know it's literally just redecorated Blade of Justice, but to me, Edge of Destiny is what Blade of Justice should have been.
I had a lot of fun playing this, too. Practically everything from 46% and beyond has always been very fun and satisfying to play. The dual is great (and actually functions in this level unlike BOJ), the ending is super intense, and overall the level's balancing is surprisingly decent.
Unfortunately, the very beginning of this level demotivated me to no end. The first robot is an immense mental challenge on its own just because of how hard it is to remain consistent. I found myself stuck here for SO long sometimes and it completely anchors my enjoyment with this level. The same can be said about the 20% ship although not as extreme.
Overall, I'm just glad I was able to put this behind me before 2.2. It feels amazing to have a new hardest after so long. Thank you all for the support during some mentally draining streams. I appreciate all of you so much.
