![IoT Happy Hour #11: balenaFin: Survival in a Harsh Environment
On this weeks episode of balena.io #IoT Happy Hour were doing a live-streamed build and installation of a balenaFin with a senseHAT and balenaSense running on it. The balenaFin will be installed live on Davids roof in Phoenix, Arizona.
The goal of the experiment is to show you how to deploy an IoT device from scratch with balenaCloud and leave it in a real harsh environment.
balenaSense project [https://www.balena.io/blog/monitor-air-quality-around-your-home-with-home-assistant-and-balena/] enables your device (Raspberry Pi, balenaFin and similar) with a senseHAT [https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/sense-hat/] read temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and air quality, and push this data to a Grafana dashboard that you can access from anywhere with balenaCloud. Internally it uses InfluxDB, Telefrag and MQTT.
