Radim Karniš from Espressif's office in Brno talks about the company’s Swiss-army knife, esptool.py, which is a Python-based, open-source, platform-independent utility that communicates with the ROM bootloader in Espressif chips. Used either on its own, or within a framework, it constitutes the last link in a software chain when developing for, or working with, the ESP8266 or ESP32 series of SoCs.
