***READ ME*** Thousands of people are displaced from their homes due to Floods, Fire, Tornado, and Hurricanes, and most of them have never bothered to prepare, not even having a Tent, Bivy, Tarp or Hammock for simple shelter, first aid kits, flashlights, or a means of not just starting a fire, but cooking a meal. So, because I am testing several shelters this year, fire steels, knives, packs and other gear, I thought why not invite others to do the same, to share knowledge, teach each others, and learn what really works in your kits, by actually using them, and finding any weakness in your own EDC or emergency camping gear.
This is just a project to learn by doing, and see other gear you may wish to add to your own gear. Bugging -- IN is not always the option, so don't use that as your only plan, otherwise you could end up like the many thousands of people who are homeless right now just due to mother nature alone.
Plane ahead and survive, or risk failure when you need it the most.
The timeframe I'm looking at is actually wide open. I plan on camping a lot this year testing and reviewing products for future reviews, but if others are interested, feel free to post, and email me and we can talk about locations activities, dates and times.
