Former federal prosecutor Ed McDonald joins Vlad to revisit the March 20, 1987 Queens shooting tied to the Colombo crime family, when a mob-ordered attack meant for former Organized Crime Strike Force prosecutor William Aronwald instead killed his 78-year-old father, George Aronwald. McDonald discusses what was known at the time, later allegations involving Colombo boss Carmine Persico, and why the botched hit remains a grim example of organized crime retaliation.

The conversation also turns to McDonald’s new book, *Chasing Goodfellas*, covering the Lufthansa case, Henry Hill, point shaving, and his role in the making of Martin Scorsese and Nick Pileggi’s *Goodfellas*.
