On December 16, 2021, the ECS Detroit Section presented the webinar, “Challenges for solid state batteries and critical role of mechanics.” Webinar speaker Sergiy Kalnaus, Staff Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory discussed the achievements in the area of solid state batteries and the remaining challenges, with partial emphasis on mechanics of materials constituting a solid state cell.
