The EcoFlow Glacier is a 38L portable dual zone fridge freezer with a built-in ice cube maker that can make ice cubes in just 12 minutes. It can run entirely off a 298Wh Li-ion battery, solar panels, a 12 or 24V car outlet or mains. The removable battery can also be used standalone as a compact battery pack with 100W USB-C charging. The Glacier can be controlled and monitored via its large LCD screen or a smart app that works over both Bluetooth and WiFi.
It looks to be a very impressive unit that comes under EcoFlow’s new Smart Devices subdivision that includes its Blade robot lawn mower I looked at recently and complements its comprehensive range of portable power stations and solar panels.
I’ll run through all its features and thoroughly test all of EcoFlow’s marketing claims to find out if this might be the perfect portable cooler for you. So let’s take a closer look.

![How to transfer videos from iPhone to external SSD, PC or Mac | Inc ProRes | 4 methods compared
In this video I’ll show how to get large video clips even in ProRes format, or any file off your iPhone 13 or 14 Pro, as quickly and conveniently as possible. All the methods I’ll discuss in this video will work with any iPhone or iPad.
I’ll show how you can connect a fast external USB SSD and if you’re offloading video files, you can then edit them directly off this drive. Then we’ll send the files wirelessly using WiFi, which is actually the fastest method I’ve found so far, apart from AirDrop which only works with Apple devices. I’ll compare speeds with these two methods against using a Lightning cable and also AirDrop.
As I alluded to, Im more interested in getting large video clips off my phone to use in my video editing software, but both methods are also useful for freeing up space on your phone.
[Update 14th September 2022. The latest iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro still use a Lightning port with USB 2 speeds. So everything in this video still applies. Hopefully next years iPhone will switch to USB-C and faster transfer speeds!]
