I saw some people saying that Eclipse powercreeps the Witness. I personally disagree. I think that Eclipse would be an effective weapon against the Witness, sure, but I don't think that Eclipse or the Eclipse Canon is "a more powerful threat." The Witness was going to destroy the whole universe. The Eclipse Canon was only really going to kill a percentage of the City and that's it. Not even the whole Last City was at risk from Eclipse directly. So yeah, I wouldn't say they've powercrept the Witness at all.
