Donny and Rylee continue their journey south, but a stop in an abandoned town leads them to a church overrun by Sculk and a strange new type of infected known as an Echo. After meeting the eccentric twins Bill and Tom, the group makes a deal to clear the church in exchange for supplies and a map, but what should be a simple job quickly takes a deadly turn.
