This documentary follows doctors and officials trying to contain a deadly outbreak of Ebola. In a desperate bid to discover a cure, a group of doctors secretly test an unstable vaccine. What is Ebola? Where did it come from? And what is the risk to the human race if we don't find a legitimate cure soon?
In May of 1995, the deadliest disease known to the human species emerged from a Zairian rain forrest - Ebola. Immediately, international media descended on a dusty Zairian town to chase the hottest story of the moment. We travel with the local Red Cross, whose workers risk their lives collecting contaminated corpses. We follow local doctors tending to the sick in isolation wards - where bleeding ebola patients spend their last agonizing moments. In the rain forrest, medical students search for patient zero while scientists desperately seek a cure to stop a global pandemic.
