2020 has been a tough year for everyone, and I found myself engrossed in artmaking in order to distract myself from the isolation, hatred, and fear of illness that I was subject to and witnessed. I'm grateful for all the support I have received from friends, family, and fellow creatives that allowed my art to grow in such turbulent times. My workflow became much more efficient and I created more than I ever have in my entire life. I'm proud of where I am, and I hope to keep growing.

Its been a while since Ive posted a speedpaint, so heres Neferon from Curse of Strahd! Ive mostly doing illustrations over animations lately so I decided to record my process with the csp timelapse feature. The Multi-Michael Animator Project is a Multi-Animator Project (MAP) set to the song “I’m best friends with my own front door” by Bill Wurtz. This MAP is a love letter to all Michael designs. It encourages experimental styles, transitions, and your own Michael headcanon. Yes, that’s right! You have no restrictions whatsoever on how you interpret his design.
All forms of animation (2D, 3D, Stopmotion, Cosplay, etc…) are encouraged. This project will be posted on April Fools— We want you to have fun and being silly is definitely allowed.

Application process:
To apply, send an email to MichaelArchivesMAP@gmail.com containing:
-Subject Line: (Your Name) Application
-A portfolio, Animation Reel, and/or any example of your work
-If you’ve made art of Michael/Helen/The Distortion in the past, share it with us!
-The top three parts that you would want to claim, the first one being the one you want to do the most.
-The best way that we can contact you (email, twitter, tumblr, discord DMs, etc…)
Once we approve your application, we will provide you a link to the discord (joining is required), where we will announce the shot list.
If you don’t get in right away, that’s okay! We’ll be choosing backup animators for this project on the chance that other artists might need to drop out.
***Note for applicants: Please keep in mind that we want to keep a safe and positive atmosphere for all participants and viewers of this project. Because of this, we will not accept any racists/antisemites/ableists/islamophobes/homophobes/transphobes/pedophiles etc that wish to join this project.
