using the auto white balance in your camera can produce great results but if you want to take it to the next level you can easily white balance your videos with a white card and get great results. white balancing your videos is very easy with only a few steps. set your camera to auto white balance focus on your white card with the proper exposure that you want and fill the frame with the white card. then go into your cameras settings and set the picture of your white card for the white balance data. then change your cameras white balance to custom white balance. your are basically telling your camera this white card is white under the current lighting conditions. remember if you film or shoot under different lighting conditions you will need to re-white balance for the new lighting conditions or scene. white balancing will allow you to more accurately reproduce the colors of your subject. apply this with proper exposure and correct lighting and you will have a great base to make amazing looking videos and photos.
