PATTERN NOTES:
Materials
Yarn: size 4, medium: ~ 75 yards
Hook: 5.50 mm / US G or 6 or desired size
Scissors, Yarn Needle
The number of stitches or motifs you should have at the end of each row will appear in parentheses in the following order (baby, child, tweens/teens/lady, men, custom #)
Pattern – CH (45, 63, 69, 75, #)
Be careful not to twist your foundation chain row. Join with a sl st to the first ch to make a Ring.
R1: (Ch 4, dc) in the same ch as joining, *skip 2 chs, (dc, ch 1, dc) into the next ch*. Repeat from * to * around, join with a sl st to the 3rd ch of the ch-4 (15, 21, 23, 25, # V-sts). Sl st into the ch-1 sp of the V-st.
R2: (Ch 4, dc) in the same sp, *(dc, ch 1, dc) into the ch-1 sp of the next V-St*. Repeat from * to * around, join with a sl st to the 3rd ch of the ch-4 (15, 21, 23, 25, # V-sts). Sl st into the ch-1 sp of the V-st.
Babies R3 – R4: repeat Row 2. At the end of R4, do not sl st into the ch-1 sp. Fasten off.
Children R3 – R5: repeat Row 2. At the end of R5, do not sl st into the ch-1 sp. Fasten off.
Tweens/Teens/Adults R3 – R6: repeat Row 2. At the end of R6, do not sl st into the ch-1 sp. Fasten off.
Ear Warmer Pincher – CH 5
R1: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across (4). Ch 1, turn.
R2: sc in each st across (4). Ch 1, turn.
Babies & Children R3 – R9: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing, weave in short end.
Tweens/Teens/Adults R3 – R11: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing, weave in short end.
Pinch Ear Warmer from top to bottom and wrap Pincher around compressed area of Ear Warmer. Thread up long tail left on Pincher and sew short ends of Pincher together. Knot, weave in tail and trim any excess. Twist Pincher around so that the seam is on the inside of the Ear Warmer.
