*Note - In this video I'm assuming you already know how to narrow down your search and identify a cartridge that potentially has the adapter inside. This method is meant as a quick on location confirmation.*
This is a no tools required, discreet, on location method to positively identify NES cartridges containing the illusive Famicom adapter/converter. I'm not sure if this method has been mentioned before and I'm no expert on the subject but it seems like a quick and easy way to tell for certain if a converter is present within a cart. It could be useful if you want to quickly check some games in a store or at a market without busting out a screwdriver. For example, you see a stack of Gyromites sitting at a market and want to check which copies have the adapter inside.
As I say in the video, I'm no expert on the NES and I don't even own a Famicom converter (never even seen one IRL :P). This is just an idea I had while watching some videos on YouTube and looking at different pics on Google images etc. I'm not sure if anyone has documented this particular method previously and I might be completely wrong. I only own one NES game which is the reason I use SMB2 as my example (obviously not a Famicom contender). In a perfect world I would have had 2 identical looking copies of Gyromite to use for demonstartion. One with an adapter and one without.
