Its that time again for the Annual Holiday Treats Collaboration hosted by Styling with Ms Betty and cohost yours truly. This year we have a special guest Ms Brenda Dee! (the premiere southern cook with delicious simple recipes) please see information for the collaboration below.

Apple Turnover Recipe:
2 large Apples cored, peeled and chopped (3-4 if you like alot of filling)
2 sheets of puff pastry (thaw in fridge)
1/2 cup of brown sugar (packed) or (white sugar)
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract (optional)
roll out puff pastry on lightly floured cool dry surface
cut into size you prefer and fill with cooled fruit
fold pastry over an seal with for or fingers
place in oven at 350 degrees on parchment lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and finish turnovers with powdered sugar after cooled (optional)
