-Sausage Sweet Potato "Chili"-
INGREDIENTS:
-1 lb ground pork sausage (or any ground meat you like)
-2 sweet potatoes peeled & diced
-1 small yellow onion diced
-1 small can tomato sauce
-1 regular sized can fire roasted diced tomatoes
-1 packet dry chili seasoning mix
-1 regular sized can black beans, drained/rinsed
-Crushed red pepper flake for heat (optional)
-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
METHOD:
Brown sausage/meat, meanwhile peel/diced sweet potatoes. Add both to crock pot. Add remaining ingredients & stir well to incorporate. Cook on high for 30 mins, then low for 4 hours. Or low for 4-5 hours. Top w/ shredded cheese and green onions, enjoy!
