NEW CROCHET PATTERN ▶ Crochet a CLUTCH BAG or HANGING BASKET with this quick and easy crochet tutorial! This pattern works really fast and should be easy to complete in a few hours! I highly recommend following along with our four skein challenge, where we see how many projects we can make using four skeins of Lion Brand Yarns, Re-Up (100% Recycled Cotton & Polyester Blend). Scrap yarn also works great for this project, and you can use up small balls of yarn to create this project!

Hanging Basket Crochet Pattern:
Crochet Hook: J/5.75 MM
Yarn: 4 Strands of ANY yarn (scrap yarn is ideal). Re-Up 100% Recycled Cotton & Polyester Blend yarn (Size 4, Medium Weight), Colors: Sea Glass & Rust
*Note for this entire project, we are going to be working two strands as if they were one.
Attach Color A (Rust) to the crochet hook using a slip knot, and create a long rope of chain stitches. Pull crochet hook out of its loop and insert a safety pin, stitch marker, or you can just pull the loop out long - you want to be able to reinsert the crochet hook and add more chains whenever you start to run out of rope.
Insert crochet hook in the 1st CH st of the chain rope created in the previous step, then, with st still on crochet hook, tie a magic circle with the other strands of Color B yarn (Timestamp: 01:55).
NOTE: for the rest of the pattern, we will be working OVER the chain rope, so please add additional chains to the rope as necessary.
Row 1: Place 8 SC inside the MC and OVER the chain rope.
NOTE: for Rows 2 - 10, mark the 1st st in each row).
Row 2: Working in a spiral, place 2 SC in each st in the row (16 total SC st).
Row 3: **1 SC in st 1, 2 SC in st 2.** Repeat * around the row (24 total SC st).
Row 4: **1 SC in st 1 - 2, 2 SC in st 3.** Repeat * around the row (32 total SC st).
Row 5: **1 SC in st 1 - 3, 2 SC in st 4.** Repeat * around the row (40 total SC st).
Row 6: **1 SC in st 1 - 4, 2 SC in st 5.** Repeat * around the row (48 total SC st).
Row 7: **1 SC in st 1 - 5, 2 SC in st 6.** Repeat * around the row (56 total SC st).
Row 8: **1 SC in st 1 - 6, 2 SC in st 7.** Repeat * around the row (64 total SC st).
Row 9: **1 SC in st 1 - 7, 2 SC in st 8.** Repeat * around the row (72 total SC st).
Row 10: **1 SC in st 1 - 8, 2 SC in st 9.** Repeat * around the row (80 total SC st).
Row 11: Mark the 20th st from the current st using the st marker. Place 30 SC OVER the chain rope, working OVER the chain rope, not in the previous row’s stitches. Starting in the st you marked, place 1 SC in each st in the row until you get back to the start of the handle (where you worked the 30 SC over the chain rope) (90 total st).
