Candy Cane Cookies & Cream Bark
My approximate measurements-
1/2lb vanilla almond bark, melted
1/2 package of candy cane Oreos(Aldi version), crushed
1/4 cup crushed candy canes
Combine above ingredients (half of the crushed candy canes). Spread thinly on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Top with other half of crushed candy canes. Freeze for 10 minutes then break into smaller pieces.
Mom's Raisin Molasses Gems
3/4 c shortening (or butter) 1t cinnamon
1 c sugar 1/2t cloves
1/4 c molasses 1/2t ginger
1 egg 1/4t salt
2 c AP flour 1c raisins
2t baking soda
Beat shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg; beat well. Combine flour, b. soda, and spices. Add to wet mixture; mix well. Stir in raisins. Cover, refrig. till chilled.
Make 1" balls of dough, roll in sugar
Place 2" apart on a greased or lined cooking sheet.
Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.
White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies:
I used both white chocolate and semi-sweet.
