I bought 4 courses on traditional acrylic abstract painting last year and loaded up my supply shelves with paints, inks, brushes and canvases (have you been there, too? 🙃)…and after several painting sessions, I was really beginning to miss my double tap undo and getting the perfect color I needed quickly 🤦♀️ Long story short, I switched to digital soon after, using what I learned with traditional media and figured out a process I loved. Today I’m sharing that process in this vid, and it’s fully beginner friendly 😉 I’m already imagining repeat patterns with this style ( learn.every-tuesday.com/procreate-patterns ), POD items, device backgrounds and more. Such a fun and flexible style that you can keep for yourself or monetize!

✨ This acrylic abstract painting was created on a 5th gen iPad Pro (12.9”, 256GB) with a 2nd gen Apple Pencil using the Procreate app
✨ I use the Paperlike screen protector + their pencil grips: every-tuesday.com/paperlike
✨I recommend any iPad listed here for working in Procreate: every-tuesday.com/ipads as they all allow for pressure sensitivity. I only recommend an Apple Pencil (gen 1 or 2) because of its reliability compared to other 3rd party styluses. Don't buy the USB-C Apple Pencil - it is *not* pressure sensitive!
