I learned a lot about Ghasts while making this Minecraft Bedrock Ghast Farm for 1.19. Going back to minecart mechanics made the redstone on this farm extremely simple.
One of the best things about this farm is that you can size it however you want or expand it another day to get more gunpowder for your realm/server!
Yields on this farm range from the simple at 2.5 stacks of gunpowder per hour all the way up to 26 stacks of gunpowder/hr for the larger, but still simple design!! This is the best gunpowder farm that I've made so far. The material list is broken out so you can expand it however you want.
Materials List for the build in the tutorial:
1 Row of Minecarts and Activator Rails
80 Glass blocks (bring extras)
13 activator rails
13 mine carts
13 levers
Spawn Platform
144 Solid blocks for first build
180 Solid blocks for subsequent rows
*bring some torches for under the rails for when the build gets large, you need to scare away those skeletons*
Each Trident Killer
2 chest
2 hopper
1 boat
11 glass blocks
1 piston
1 trident
1 solid block
Repeater torch clock
4 solid blocks
1 lever
1 repeater
1 torch
1 slab or glass block
Redstone to connect Pistons
6 glass blocks
8 redstone dust
*Redstone Repeaters when the build gets large*

9 solid blocks add 5 for each new row
12 rails (powered/rail) add 5 for each new row

2-3 Stacks of Slabs (lava lake dependent)
AFK position
Lots of glass. Use scaffolding or ladders to reach the afk position if you don't have an elytra.
Sword with the Looting III enchantment
Its recommended to bring spare blocks of everything especially glass blocks, because lava is hot. Also bring some fire resistance potions!
