Looking for a mate?
It seems these birds wake up in the really late pm, hence the darkness. So we will try again in the early am, and hope for some better light.
The background "bang" I assume would be a shotgun as I am guessing it is duck season. (sad)
I am sure this bird has its sights set on finding a spring mate for the procreation stage! We could hear another screech calling in the woods, so I hope they have a successful year.
Video shot in 4k resolution, using the Sony A9 camera, and the 200-600 OSS lens. Also, a Sony shotgun mic, Small rig mounting hardware, and a Jobu Algonquin carbon fibre tripod, with a Jobu Jr. Deluxe gimbal head.
