In this video, we're gonna get together and learn how to paint a Moai statue on a cliff overlooking the ocean. This is more of an intermediate painting, but there's no reason a beginner couldn't try it!

I’m painting on a 16x20-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.
I used:
• A 1-inch flat brush
• 1/2-inch angle brush
• 1/8-inch flat, filbert, or round brush
• Firm 1/2-inch flat brush
• A soft, puffy, old brush for scrubbing (I cut up an old 1/2-inch angle brush)
• 1-inch house painting brush
• Palette knife (any size or shape)
• Chalk (don't use a chalk marker like I did. Trust me.)
• Stucco texture paste (Liquitex)
• Modeling paste (Liquitex)
I’m using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Titanium White
• Mars Black
• Phthalocyanine Blue
• Burnt Sienna
• Yellow Oxide (or Yellow Ocher)
But you can use any colors you like.
