our first stop on the east of the припять river: the small village of кошивка.
15km southeast of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Koschiwka has pretty much normal ambient radiation levels.
this was simply "luck" and due to wind not blowing in that direction as the accident happened.
as we're going north towards the border of Belarus, we'll find much higher radiation levels.
