Haligtree Canopy is a location I reached pretty much towards the end of the game, after I've defeated many big bosses and explored most of the world map. Initially I thought this location was super hard as you are on treetops and one misstep you'll fall to death.
However, after getting used to it, it is actually quite easy to farm runes. Most of the enemies you can either easily defeat through melee combat or ranged shots. As a mage especially, the Loretta Greatbow is a great skill that will allow you to one shot enemies far away on tree tops. I also used Rock Sling a few times to land enemies that were on tree branches below me.
As you can see in the video I gained 80,000 runes in about 7 minutes. This was without trying to speed things up. If I do things really quickly I reckon I can get that down to about 5 minutes. Enjoy the extra runes!

Hi everyone. I havent played Elden Ring in a while - I thought I would revisit the game because I never completed any achievements for it on Xbox and I did buy the game in the early stages when it came out, so I feel like its a bit of a waste of money if I dont revisit it and complete some achievements.
Since Ive already tried playing a warrior and hero, I thought Id try a spell caster class this time to experience something different. I can see my previous characters are still there but I chose to start brand new as I have pretty much forgotten how to play anyway.
This time I used a lot of guides to help me play rather than just figuring things out myself. I got my Meteorite Staff and the Rock Sling spell, which allows me to do an insane amount of damage and pretty much one or two shot kill most monsters. I have some trouble with bosses but standing far away with the rock sling spell means that I still kill them in relatively few tries.
Now back to the main point of the video - I was following a guide which wanted me to get the Lazuli Glintstone Sword. I was very excited about the sword from what I read and spent about 3 hours getting it. However, the sword that I got eventually wasnt that great, but what I did notice was that I was 20 levels higher by the time I got it.
The reason is because in order to get this sword, I had to kill the same thing over and over again until they dropped it. The monsters I had to kill were quite easy to kill and they gave insanely high amounts of runes. So by the time I got the sword, my level was in my thirties, when I started on about level 10.

So I am trying to get my sword of night and flame upgraded to level 10, which requires an Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. In order to get this stone, you must complete the Latenna questline, which means you must kill the Castle Sol boss Commander Niall.
This boss is insanely difficult initially. You have to try a lot of things and do a lot of research. After doing the homework, it does get a lot easier. Firstly, at the start of the fight, he will summon two knights to help him. These knights do a lot of damage, so you have to get rid of the knights first before tackling the boss.
One of the knights will run at you (the one that is dual weilding). This is good because that means you get a bit of time to kill him before the other two bosses reach you as well. Use a carian greatsword spell to quickly finish the first knight.
If the second knight charges at you, use a carian greatsword to finish him off too. If he doesnt, run far away from both the knight and commander Niall, and use a ranged spell (in my case I am using Comet Azur) to finish the second knight.
When Niall is the only one left standing, thats when I summoned my spirit to help. Mimic Tear will create an identical version of yourself. In this case since I have only equipped two spells, the mimic tear should shoot Comet Azur at commander Niall a few times. This will help a little bit but not too much.
The only way to defeat Niall is to know when to dodge, so his attacks dont touch you. If you get used to his attacks, you basically know when to dodge (at the last split second when he charges at you).
After you master the dodging, itll simply be a case of standing as far away from him as possible, drink your mana potions and fire the Comet Azur. Hold down the comet Azur spell button so it will damage him as much as possible per shot.
