Throughout this entire medley, I wanted to give the impression that the song was evolving and not just 7+ minutes of one style or genre (many others do it well, but I wanted to keep it from getting boring or repetitive). So, I tried tapping into a few of the different styles I'm comfortable with and giving the medley as a whole a sense of forward motion. This contest gave me the motivation I needed to start making videos, and so far I've gotten positive feedback (even from the composer of this video game's music himself, Tommy Tallarico!). Thank you all for the kind words and support; I will definitely be doing more of this!
