Happy #EarthMonth! Did you know that Central Park’s landscapes, plants, and soil help mitigate the effects of climate change by sequestering carbon from the atmosphere? If that sounds complicated, our Kid Reporter, Harper, is here to help! She recently interviewed Michelle and Zack from the #CentralParkConservancy and helped them take a soil sample from North Meadow for the Central Park Climate Lab.
The mission of the Central Park Conservancy is to preserve and celebrate Central Park as a sanctuary from the pace and pressures of city life, enhancing the enjoyment and wellbeing of all.
