Dr. Andonuts tells Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo, that in order to defeat Giygas, they need to travel to the past. With the Phase Distorter III, it's possible for them being warped to the past, however, there's a catch. The Phase Distorter cannot warp living beings, so they'll have to upload their minds into robots. Due to the circumstances, agrees to Dr. Andonuts suggestion of uploading their minds into robots. Afterwards, the Phase Distorter takes them to the Cave of the Past where they're going to face Giygas.
