The first 'neutral' system, Beta Hydri is governed by the Glenn Commission and is a major tourist system. The outer sectors are quite dangerous however.
Starting in Saturn, Beta Hyrdi is accessed via a large man-made interstellar gate. Most of the objects in the system are named after the original Mercury Astronauts or NASA programs. It is a single star system in similar composition to Earth's sun, but older and and almost done consuming it's hydrogen fuel.
Sectors visited (in order):
-Glenn: Habitable world, home to many tourist attractions
-Slayton: Rocky world with lots of debris fields baddies like to hide in
-Glory's Orbit: Tourist sector close to Beta Hydri Star
-Carpenter: Icy world, mining sector
-Sheppard: Ringed subgiant
-Grissom: Gas giant, largest sector in the game
-Grissom meteorological site: Gas giant upper atmosphere
-Cooper: Icy world with largest ring system in the game, very remote and dangerous
-"Unknown Galaxy": Home of the fishies
