“I am the true vine.” 🍇

To Jesus’ first listeners, those words carried a deeper meaning than we often realize.

The image of the vine was already woven throughout Israel’s story. So when Jesus used it to describe Himself, He was not choosing a random metaphor. He was revealing His place within that story.

And then He gives a simple invitation: abide in Me.
