Might not be the most optimal way to do it but I found swinging left after throwing it, then swinging diagonal back in helps catch them on the timing without blinding yourself or overflicking.
If you just throw the flash and look away then back you aren't in a position to counterstrafe, so going left first, then diagonal right helps dodge and keep your movement speed max so you can tape counterstrafe when you see the forward T's. Lemme know if you have ways to improve this.
