Why did the early Christian persecution happen? How extensive was it and could one argue that it's over-exaggerated?
In this two-part series we will cover the history of the early Christian persecution in Rome. This will include why the roman pagans decided to persecute Christians, how extensive the persecution was as well as the often less talked about persecution of pagans by Christian emperors in late antiquity.
This video will cover the early Christian persecution with part two covering the later pagan persecution by Christians.

Correction: At 6.15 I'm intending to say "a couple of thousands" and not "a couple thousands". By a couple of thousands I'm referring to a number between 2000 - 10 000 Christians dying in the persecution by emperor Diocletian and not that only 2000 died in the persecution.
