This video is an exercise in ear training for vocalists. This is a simple solfege practice routine you can do every day to strengthen your ear. This is just the first layer in working toward quick melodic dictation, etc., but it's absolutely essential in my opinion!
I recently asked for some feedback on what I post and a friend suggested I post more about singing. Since voice is my primary instrument, I figured that made sense! So here’s a video sharing one of the most important fundamentals of music theory: the major scale!
Memorizing and understanding the major scale opens doors to a thousand other concepts, so I strongly recommend practicing this daily for a few weeks (or the rest of your life or whatever).
