Over the hills and down by the river bed
I see a bird and he is eating his own head
Where does this birdy want to fly
Without his mind, without his eye
The eagle he was flying above me
So high I could barely see his wings
Flapping through the air
And swiftly moving like the clouds
He bleeds red just like me
But we are different
Cause he lives in the skies
Down by the river bed
The birds walk on
Their headless friend
Dancing and singing along
And he fly's above me so safe
From the creatures that I face
Over the mountains down by the river bed
I see a man, he's swimming
I creep up to him and slip into the water
I don't make a sound but he sees me
And a spear right through my heart
Over the hills and down by the river bed
I see a bird and he is eating his own head
Where does this birdy want to fly
Without his mind, without his eye
The eagle he was flying above me
So high I could barely see his wings
Flapping through the air
And swiftly moving like the clouds
He bleeds red just like me
But we are different
Cause he lives in the skies
Down by the river bed
The birds walk on
Their headless friend
Dancing and singing along
And he fly's above me so safe
From the creatures that I face
Over the mountains down by the river bed
