Cant Catch That 2023 [@DeviliNsideMe] purplestoessel 2023-12-31 | ❝You're just a phase.And I'm over it.❞AAAAAND WE'RE HERE🥳🥳🥳🥳This year has been one hell of a journey and definitely held many unexpected turns and twists, but I loved them all (kinda)😭 And what a coincidence that I got to live through most of this year with the same person that created this thingy with me, people would say it's on purpose👄2023 definitely wasn't an easy year but one thing that was right with it was that we got to spend more than half of it on the same place and drove us to a point where Vlad comes to my house every other week and eats everything from my fridge😞 I'm starving but at least I finally have a good and consistent friendship, so what's more to ask😭We lived together, we cooked together, we watched every show and movie on the planet together, we stalked hot guys together and we did some other devilish stuff that slipped through while we were on our third all-nighter in a row while doing NHL projects that were 50 pages long and we needed a good distraction in-between breathing and doing the work yknow, we have our needs🧍♀️I'm so happy we finally got to work on a collab together after over an year and it was a whole rollercoaster for sure but it was soooo worth it. I love what we did with it and I love all the laughs and cringe we had while editing this thingy. I don't remember the last time I masked so many stuff on a vid and I honestly don't want to😭 It's just not a project of ours if we don't spend 5 days in a row editing from dusk till dawn (rip to my eyes), and that's what's so special about working with you💜We wanted to include fandoms that had a huge impact on us during this year and not just things that came out in 2023. (also we're salty that we didn't get to upload a collab last year, so we wanted to add things from there as well) We thought it's more symbolic like that and it will mean more to us than to use things that we don't feel so connected to. And as a whole, the theme for our collab is that every year is better than the previous one, and no matter if this year was bad for us (and for you) or not, next year will be better. I also lost my motivation with time but i'm trying to get back to it by working on projects that are really close to my heart, and this is the first one🥰Ngl i couldn't care less about this show when i watched the first season💀 but i kinda give that to my mood and situation while watching it. The second season really hit close to home tho. As a person who's been thru both ED and SH, and also has been b*llied for like her whole life, it was like a PTSD attack when i watched this season🏃🏻♀️ I've seen all of those issues portrayed before but not with a single character lol. The thing that hit me the most was the fact that Nick was so understanding of it and did not go with the disgusting "promise me to not do it again" or the guilt trip as if Charlie owes him anything in this life. Instead, he decided to be a human being and accept the flaws, but try to make Charlie's life better. I guess they really hit different this time💃This video is a love letter for my 16-year-old self, who did not have a person like Nick in her life and had to deal with all the bad words and blame on her own, and made it through it all to become the person that I am today. I'm not perfect, and I'm still dealing with all my demons and trauma, but i'm glad that i made it out through the worst year of my life.This is also a message for yall to please, PLEASE be there for your friends when they're not feeling well. It doesn't matter if they have ED or anything else, just please, don't be selfish and be their friend. Listen, care and try to make their day better. You don't have to fix them or make them your life priority, but it would be nice of you to just be a good person. The world deserves more people out there who do not turn their backs on someone just because they've lost their way somehow.I tried to show that Nick made Charlie's life more colorful and bright, and overall better by just being a good person and loving him. Collab Parts [February - December 2022] purplestoessel 2022-12-30 | hello, i'm still alive!I haven't been really active for the past months and that's cuz life's not been easy on me and I lost my motivation to edit. I barely got the styles for my collabs done and then forced myself to finish them so I wouldn't let my team down, and I'm honestly done with myself atp, so that's why I will not host collabs for a while.Also, I have been letting my friends down with their collabs cuz I constantly miss deadlines and even end up dropping out cuz i just can't find the strength to finish the part and I prefer to leave it to someone else rather than ruin the collab :") I'm sorry to everyone that had to suffer through this cuz of me. I will only join a selected amount of collabs from now on, a.k.a. only those of my closest friends, and nothing else. Editing used to be my safe space in a time where I felt all alone and like I didn't deserve to be on here, and making 2-3 edits per week was the way I coped with all this. I used to make up to 4 collabs parts IN A DAY. Just so I wouldn't think of how lonely I was. I guess all of that changed now.My life is not perfect, let me tell you that. There are many days where I feel alone and like shit, but it's not how it used to be. A lot of things changed and I'm more okay with myself now and I actually have the will to fight for what I want and what I think is right. I have people with me who actually care, and we're trying to build this life up in the way that it should've been since the start.To anyone out there who has ever felt like they don't deserve shit - you did, you do and you always will. When I started this show, I never thought that I would actually have to say goodbye to Rini. Like, ever. They seemed like the perfect endgame and I wasn't concerned about them ending up together or not, until the whole drama started and I just knew that was the end for them. I never found it in myself to edit them after that break up in s2, but now I just wanted to say goodbye to them in the only way I know.When I started this show I was in a really dark spot. It was March 2020, the c0v!d situation had just started + i had gotten into this big fight with my closest person, and I started watching HSMTMTS to get some distraction. But then I saw what it was about, and that whole "why can't you say i love you" plotline fvcked me up really hard, cuz i used to be on that same spot. On Ricky's spot, not Nini's. I knew how it felt like to not be able to express how you feel cuz no one ever really made you feel that way + you're always scared of the other person destroying your feelings by not returning them. When you're used to everyone leaving you, you don't want to risk it by driving someone else away from you. Especially if they mean so much to you. So, those stuff are scary. Watching him say it at the end made me cry like a 2-year-old cuz it was just beatiful and so well acted out. My own situation wasn't any different tho- but i won't talk about that now.Let's just say that there are only a few couples out there that I actually felt personally close to, and Rini is one of them. I can't believe that every couple that means this much ends up being broken up, drifted apart or something of the sort. I really want to see a couple that I relate to get their happy ending, FOR ONCE. Mileven, i'm counting on you🤧Anyway. Yeah, you read that right. And it comes from a person that considers this her favorite show of all time😪 Putting how dirty they did Mileven and Mike&El as characters aside, the whole season is soo predictable that it's unreal. I saw "the big reveal" coming on episode 2 and due to all the scenes shown in the trailers, I knew that Max's not gonna die and that El will get bald again, therefore half of the suspense was gone cuz I couldn't give two fucks about Max anyway, especially when the whole thing got spoiled in the trailers.And for the Vecna reveal - did yall really not put 2 and 2 together when you saw Jamie Campbell Bower's name after the opening credits of episode 1?😐 It was even more obvious when I saw what role they gave him, cuz he's too big of an actor to only be some guy in the lab lol. Also the eyes of Vecna gave him away and yeah... yall should REALLY watch more movies if you thought that this was a masterful reveal cuz let me tell you, it was not.I love that they started tying up the loose ends and have us know why the monsters were after El and so on, but it was poorly excecuted. Definitely Marvel's most original movie so far lol, even tho it's not my favorite, I gotta give them that. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it should've been named only "Multiverse of Madness" or be considered as a Scarlet Witch movie cuz let's be honest, no one cared about Strange anyway🥱 I spent the whole movie waiting for Wanda's next scene cuz Strange's storyline was boring the hell out of me and the whole movie just fought sooo hard to keep the center of attention at him, but failed big time💀I'm definitely gonna edit Wanda again as soon as I get my hands on the 🥺precious 1080p, 6CH version of the movie🥺, but I wanted to go and give her a badass video that she deserved cuz that woman slayed my whole existence, and that comes from a person who usually doesn't like overpowered characters. Nick & Ziggy | Traitor purplestoessel 2021-07-21 | ❝God, I wish that you had thought this throughBefore I went and fell in love with you...❞Oh hi, i'm alive...sadly.It's not a surprise at this point that i'm watching everything that includes the Stranger Things actors, so yup.. here we go again🤣I guess yall can kinda guess how devastated i was with this damn ending. I've been rooting for these two ever since I saw the second movie, and the way that the writers went for was honestly pure crap. Nick's ancestor being the bad guy was smart af and there could've been such a cool and creative plot if Nick had actually went for his "what if i don't wanna be like that?" thingy, but nah. Let's give him zero screen time after the big reveal and make him seem as if all he ever wanted was power and etc. Like, the f?I rewatched all of his scenes from Fear Street 1978, and now that i know what he's supposed to truly be like, he still didn't seem like that. Like, yeah, it was fucked up as shit that he was the reason Cindy died cuz Ziggy said she hated her and so on, but he wasn't the pure evil that the writers made him out to be in 1666. No matter what, he still saved Ziggy's life and now the whole "please don't die on me" line makes waay more sense, and it's just a proof that he cared about her enough to tell the curse to go fuck itself. Even after he knew that Ziggy saw the witch and everything, he didn't try to kill her and he never sent the killers after her. So, in conclusion, he truly did care for her, and i hate the writers for completely erasing that. We could've seen him at least TRYING to resist the "evil" that was supposedly running thru his bloodline, but nah.. let's go for the cheap way.Like, cmon??? They didn't even give them a proper reunion to have me cry my eyes out. The scene where Ziggy realised that it's been him all along was heartbreaking, yes, but i wanted to see that pain when she had to face him for real. Like, bruh, yall are telling me that she could just let the man she loved die just like this? She didn't even FLINCH. That was just poor writing. They could've taken two minutes from the gross scenes and put it into the Nick&Ziggy reunion so we could at least see actual emotions from her. Nick showed some emotion, he looked happy to see her but at the same time he didn't want her there cuz that meant she would get hurt, and she just- went and stabbed him in the back? And then suddenly he was ready to kill her as well? The f????????? And someone honestly thinks this makes sense?I'm just done with this franchise. The third movie doesn't exist for me, and I'm honestly ready to sit down and write an alternative ending lol. If they wanted Nick to be dead at the end, there were way more creative ways to reach that point, rather than the cheesy plot they went for. ANYWAYS.I'd never planned to edit those two until the third movie, cuz even tho i didn't expect to ever cry on a horror movie after the "It" movies, I actually teared up on the scene where Ziggy found out Nick was the bad guy. That physically hurt, with the flashbacks and everything.. I gotta give them that, this scene was a heartbreaking perfection. So, I just downloaded the movies and started working on this.This song has been a fav of mine ever since it came out, and I was supposed to edit it for a 1x1 collab, but like you can guess, it died down. But since I had the idea for the text (it doesn't look as good as i wanted, but wtv) i decided to use it cuz it's kinda perfect for them (except for the cheating part) and yeah.. I'm done with throwing away ideas for edits only cuz my partner dropped out or we got into a fight, or wtv... I can't believe the writers went for all of this crap, i mean- didn't they have any better ideas rather that pushing every couple they had into an unrealistic love triangle? Bruh.I'm still not supporting the fact that Victor&Benji started their relationship in s1 with cheating but I'm glad the writers acknowledged that and took quite a lot of time for Mia and Victor to fix things between them (preach for this one, they did it right) but having Venji end with some sort of cheating too? The f was this?Having Rahim kiss Victor while he was still in a relationship (idc that him and Benji were taking a "break", they were still considered to be together) and Victor not pushing him away was honestly disgusting and made me lose all sort of sympathy for those characters. Yall expect me to believe that Victor loves Benji but kisses other dudes every now and then, what kind of love is this? The f.Also, I want to point out that I wasn't against Rahim until that scene came cuz I just hate it in my guts when someone tries to come between two people that love each other. Like bruh take some notes and next time wait until they've broken up for real before you go for it. I would've probably rooted for them after the assassination of Benji's character arc but only if they were done right (which didn't happen).I lost my sympathy for Benji too, they completely destroyed his character this season (probably on purpose, so they could make this Victor/Rahim thingy happen). His alcohol problems were not handled right AT ALL, they just threw them into the mess and had him yelling at Victor for no reason every five seconds? Benji spent the entire season being pissed at his boyfriend instead of talking to him, which made him look like a hypocrite since he was the one that insisted on them being more open with each other. And how do I call this? Oh yeah, BAD WRITING.I truly hope that they at least didn't actually consider to make Victor go to Rahim's door after one kiss🙄 If anyone thinks it's gonna be believable for him to choose someone he barely knows over someone he's supposed to love when he's asked who he imagines to be his future husband, idk what to tell you. Even tho, if I have to be honest, I felt like he went to Rahim's door but I truly hope I'm wrong cuz that's gonna be the worst writing ever.Also, we're not talking about the Felix&Pilar nonsense either. My boy loved Lake thru both seasons but oops Pilar gave him some stuff for his mom, kissed him without consent and was ready to throw their friendship into the trash after that, and suddenly he decided to choose her over his first love? LMAOI prefer to stop talking and just wait until the new season is out and hopefully they'll fix all the fucked up shit they did in this one. The final result is not satisfying at all to me but I don't want to work on it anymore, so here u go. Enjoy my crappy skills once more🥴When I first started reading the Grishaverse, I was in a really dark spot. I was in a phase when I had no friends because all of them left me for some reasons. And then my mom urged me to read this trilogy that she loved so much, and I wasn't really excited about it but as I was bored to death anyway, I decided to do it. And I've never been happier.The Grishaverse brought me to tears of laughter and sadness, it made me believe in friendship and love again and it was truly the most beautiful book series I've ever read in my life. It showed me that only when you're yourself you're truly beautiful, and that no matter what the world tells you to be, you should stay as you are and love whoever the f you want to.You can guess how excited I was that my favorite books were being adapted. I was following every single step of the creating of the show that was showed outside of set, and I loved it way before it was streaming on Netflix. I just knew those actors wouldn't disappoint me, and I was fucking right. The show had some flaws but overall I loved it tons and I watched it twice already (more rewatches are on the way for sure), it's probably gonna be my new comfort show hehe💗So, the hard part of writing this description is finally letting the words out for Mal&Alina and i'm probably gonna get tons of hate for it but eh, who cares, right?I hated that they removed the kisses in s1 for the sake of fan service. Mal and Alina's first kiss was an important moment for their relationship, and the fact that the writers erased it hurt me a lot. I teared up while reading that part of the book, and not seeing it on screen was like a punch in the face. I'm glad that at least we got a lot of other moments (like the "I see you now" scene, that was beautiful af, and also the true north letters, uwu). I hope in s2 they'll finally do them justice and probably give a little bit of the angst that was in the books, huh?Since I've never mentioned it before, I'll say it now - if there's a couple that I love more than Mike&Eleven, it's Mal&Alina. I've never felt so attached to a couple in my life before, and they were the first one that actually made me feel things as if they were happening to me too. I loved them since the very first page when Mal told her "I don't think you're ugly", like bruh? And yall are out there hating on him for being the reason Alina was skinny? Some messed up shit here. My boy knew exactly how unhealthy Alina looked but as he had no idea how to help her with that (since, yknow, he didn't know she was Grisha? and he was a kid?) he did the only thing he could - he tried to make her feel okay about her appearance. So, stop the Mal slaughter for stupid shit as that.I'm really scared to write this down, but I will. I can't believe I thought that after showing the stag scene in such a graphic way, and then making the "necklace" out of the stag's antlers, yall would finally stop romanticizing that shit, but nope. Yeah bruh I'm sure everyone would love for their "love interest" to violate their body in such way, threaten their friends, lie to them the whole time and then make them kill an entire village? Yup. I'd love that too.Yall know that your beloved Darkling tried to r*pe Alina in the second book, yes? Or everyone just ignores this now? To bring it back in your memory, she had a fight with Mal at the palace and then "he" came to her room and they started making out and taking their clothes off, until - oops - Alina looked into his eyes, and they were grey. So, suddenly now, it's totally okay that the Darkling tried to assault her and made out with her without any consent, but it's not okay that Mal was acting like a human being? And everyone actually thinks this is okay?I've been done with this fandom in the second I saw the Mal slaughter and I still am. Never forgiving yall for justifying a character that's based on Leigh Bardugo's abuser. That woman didn't write this piece of shit for yall to stan him.
