People often have doubts and questions about near colorless diamonds being too yellow for their engagement rings. Some even go so far as to have the mindset of only buying a colorless diamond because of misinformation and marketing tricks deployed by sales people.
In this video, we looking at the differences between a GIA graded E color and H color diamond ring. From a normal viewing distance as well as a close up examination, we review the color differences between them in a critical manner.
Can you see any tint or hue differences between the diamond rings? Or do they both look white to you?
If you find it hard to see nuances in color, that's because cut quality is making it difficult for your eyes to see and detect them. The sparkle and brilliance help to hide the color tones.
For a colorless E and H near colorless diamond, the differences in grading is only 3 grades. And both of these lie in the top tier category of the GIA color scale.
