This battle wants you to be moving pretty quick, so I just went with Lu Bu here. In these DLC stages, they love to give enemies Hyper Mode and then take it a step further by having them rally or just gain super high defense. These enemies are a huge pain to fight on higher difficulties without Slash because they're just massive HP sponges. They did this because when they were testing it on normal, these extreme amount of buffs were the only way to make the enemies actually durable enough to not get slaughtered in a few seconds, but didn't consider how it would affect higher difficulties.
I even tested it on a later stage where I had Lingqi use her R1 musou 3x in a row on one such enemy with this type of buff just on Hard difficutly. He survived even after all that. So you can imagine how durable it makes these guys on Chaos and Ultimate.
