The concept of an "Advanced Tutorial" has lurked among the denizens of /r/dustforce for almost a year now. Demonstrating techniques that aren't readily clear to a new player, it would (slightly) bridge the gap between the veterans of the broom and newcomers still flailing through their swipes. Often attempted but never truly realized, the idea to take up the torch and cast a light upon the murkier aspects of the game would sprout up on the forums every few months; only to be postponed or canceled for various reasons thereafter.
Well here's my shot at telling the story. Or at least a part of it.
The "spike-jumping, ground-boosting, dash-jumping" part, that is. All essential techniques when it comes to high-level play, especially on the Custom Levels circuit.
Do note that not ALL of the intricacies of Dustforce are presented in this video. Techniques such as Attack Canceling and Zetta Sliding aren't shown off here, though the three maneuvers that ARE demonstrated certainly warranted some further explanation.
