Plot:
Allie is just a normal teenage girl, just like everyone else in her school, meaning that she's exactly what you wouldn't expect her to be.
It's the winter break and she is left in campus with some of the other students who decided not to go home for the break.
One night, as she walks into the bathroom, she comes across Aaron, the narcissistic heartbreaker that every girl on campus seems to have a crush on. With his cocky personality and high self-esteem he easily gets on Allie's nerves and, even though she doesn't want to admit this to herself, she's attracted to him.
They hide in a storage closet, not wanting to be found out by the students who are on patrol as they hear one who's coming their way. Not knowing what to do they end up kissing, but this develops quickly and things start getting hot and heavy. Eventually, they pull apart, but It's the beginning of something new, something that Allie wasn't expecting at all.
But Aaron isn't the only guy who's messing with Allie's head, something is happening between her and her longtime friend Niall. What she feels isn't just friendship anymore, she finds herself wishing for more and getting confused wherever she's with the boy. Niall who used to be her confident, the boy she could rely on wherever she needed to talk to someone after her best friend Emily had left without any warning.
Meanwhile things are getting complicated between her two friends Gabe and Isa. Gabe is falling hard for Isa, and trying to hide his feelings is getting more and more complicated as time goes on. In an impromptu gesture he ends up kissing the boy but then he quickly withdraws, too afraid of what he's done to face the consequences.
Some of the students in Allie's school have special skills (invisibility, mind reading, shape shifting and healing some can even see into the future). These students don't actually know each other because those who control them and send them into missions try to do everything anonymously .
Allie's power is to get in contact with people.
One day she sees Emily's return, but she isn't alone, there's a mysterious guy with her that Allie has never seen before, his name is Nicholas.
Allie looks out of her window to find Emily standing there. Even though Allie would like to know what happened and why she left in the first place, at the end of the day she is just happy that she's back, safe and sound.
Allie, however, isn't the only one shocked by Emily's return. Christal, who Allie has always considered to be the most popular girl in school is the one who ends up being the most affected by it. In fact, Christal and Emily had an affair going on before the girl left the school, and as soon as Christal catches sight of Emily, all the memories come back to her. But Emily is no longer the girl that she used to know. Christal is still desperately in love with her, and even if Emily feels the same about her, things are just too messed up to be fixed right now. Christal is in pain and seeks comfort in Aaron, the two share a special bond that goes beyond any words. With the two there's also Cameron, who's just as much as a dilemma as they are.
But feelings aren't the only thing not making sense right now, because every single one of them is now faced with something they don't know anything about. They have to follow the orders they receive, to protect the people they love. They can't trust anyone, no one knows who's in charge of them, who will stand by their side to fight and how things are going to solve out.
Everything is about to change.
