In this tutorial you will learn how to Create a Duotone Image in Photoshop CC.
➡️ Start by bringing in your photo into Photoshop.
➡️ Now click on the Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer icon and select Gradient Map. Your image will now become black and white.
➕ You will also have the gradient map properties presented to you, where you have a few options: gradient, dither and reverse.
➡️ Click on the gradient. Here you are presented with the same gradient editor that you see everywhere else in Photoshop. Just edit the gradient per your desire. We will be going for a red and cyan duotone picture.
➡️ Click on the black color stop and click on the color icon below. Here, pick the color of your choice then click OK. This will be the color that the shadows will have. Next do the same for the highlights.
➕ You can also reposition the color stops if you would like to edit the brightness/contrast of the duotone effect.
Press OK. Now you have a beautiful duotone effect.
