Filmed at the Great Sandhills in Saskatchewan. Just an hour and a half northwest of Swift Current and the Trans-Canada highway, but in all the years we've travelled this highway this was our first time ever visiting the area.

You'll have to excuse the wind rumble and audio quality. This is a field recording in the truest sense. You can't see it (although you can hear it) but the wind was blowing at about 50km/h. There is a very fine sand that gets blown around in the air and gets into cameras and phones, not to mention every bodily crevice. So we only took one shot at this.

The audio was recorded on my iPhone, which you can see in a couple of spots strapped to my thigh (whew! There's a phrase I never thought I would utter in public) and my wife filmed it on her little point and shoot Lumix. The Lumix appears to have taken a big bullet with all that sand permanently jamming the zoom and shutter mechanism.

I was considering sweetening the audio a bit by adding some reverb. But then I realized if there ever was a time when it was appropriate to just leave the audio dry, this was it.

A free transcription is available at http://www.BobEvansGuitar.com/dune for the guitar geeks.

Thanks for watching.
