James Uthmeir, the attorney general of Florida under governor Ron DeSantis, has called out the WNBA after the Chicago Sky’s DiJonai Carrington committed a hard foul on Indiana Fever role player Sophie Cunningham. Uthmeir, like many other Republicans, had nothing to say when Cunningham lashes out against opponents. Same with Fever star Caitlin Clark clotheslining a member of the Atlanta Dream. What MAGA has made clear is they endorse Sophie for her “white privilege” while painting every Black women in the professional basketball league as an enemy. Recently Cunningham shared transphobic views whe she received the endorsement of fifth place swimmer and Fox News contributor Riley Gaines.
