Today’s Dumb Criminal of the Day takes us to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where two women allegedly tried to pay a restaurant bill with money that came with its own warning label.
According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, a group of women ordered food and drinks at the St. Lucie Draft House before allegedly paying with a fake $100 bill. Printed directly on the bill were the words: “FOR MOTION PICTURE PURPOSES.”
Deputies say the group left in a dark blue Dodge Charger, but officers later located the vehicle. Kamri Ashanti Reese, 24, and Kayla Reese, 25, were arrested on charges that include larceny, possession of a forged bank bill or note, and fraud for allegedly passing the fake bill.
They allegedly wanted a free meal. Instead, they got movie money—and real arrests.
The charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
