"Grabbag" (GS version) from Duke Nukem 3D: Comparison of several commercial GM/GS soundfonts (with the exception of NTONYX 32MB GM Stereo, which is freeware). Some of these soundfonts are no longer sold by the developers and have become abandonware.
All of these soundfonts were used with CoolSoft VirtualMIDISynth, with the exception of proVITAMIN which was used in Propellerhead Reason.

04:11 - EYE & I Productions Voice Crystal 4 MB GM v4.1 | Well-balanced.

08:25 - Merlin Symphony
10:38 - NemeSys Conexant GM500 Beta | Drums are a bit soft.
12:48 - NTONYX 32MB GM Stereo
14:54 - Papelmedia GM 2007 | Guitar is too loud.
17:02 - proVITAMIN Reason ReFill | The Distortion Guitar is horrible, and Reason screwed up the solo section for unknown...reasons.
19:11 - Sonic Reality OmniSynth | Muddy guitars and mushy drums.
21:18 - Sonido Media Monster GM! 12 MB | The Distortion Guitar sounds like some kind of sick monster.
23:28 - Sonido Media Monster GM! 24 MB | Ditto.
25:38 - SONiVOX 24 MB GS
27:44 - SONiVOX 250 MB GS
29:55 - SONiVOX Industrial Dance | The guitars sound "snotty" for lack of a better term.
