A leaky duct system may not provide the required amount of supply air to each room to satisfy the heating or cooling load. When air is lost to the building structure, heating or cooling energy is wasted in places where occupants do not benefit from comfort.
Duct sealing helps that the correct amount of air is distributed to the various rooms in the home in order to meet the design heating and cooling loads.
