Animal pals Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria are still trying to make it back to New York's Central Park Zoo, but a detour through Europe lands them in a traveling circus. While hiding out as performers, they are relentlessly pursued by the unhinged French animal-control officer Capitaine Chantel DuBois, who is determined to add a lion to her taxidermy collection.
