When it comes to covering live events, being able to move the camera is critical. The iOS multi-camera live streaming app Switcher Studio enables you to control the OSMO Mobile with the cell phone that it's holding, but these are tall and rather big.
An alternative is the Galileo Motrr, a formerly Kickstarted camera motion head that can also be controlled by Switcher Studio. These motion heads are the size of two hockey pucks stacked up and have adapters to hold iPhone 4, 5, 5s, SE, 6, iPods, GoPro, etc.
These can be directly controlled from within Switcher Studio and they pack up much smaller, and, more importantly, when in use, they are much lower profile- perfect for corporate events where you don't want a couple tall handheld gimbals in the front of the room.
I've been using the Motrr's for some time and am working at making them much more discrete so there's less to draw attention in the room where they are looking around.
This version 3 utilizes some cinema rods and rails to hold the heads and a cheese plate to hold the battery that can power all four devices for several hours.
I am already working on version 4 which has a custom 3D printed bracket that can hold more things, more compactly, and it breaks apart easily for travel, and assembles in seconds with dovetails. V4 will be able to hold more devices, more batteries, in more ways than v3.
Working with a designer, I look forward to unveiling v4 and we have dubbed it, the Buracket. Extra points if you figure out the naming on that one. It's not too tough. :)
