Billy Cardigan caught up with some of the fellows from Dua Lipa's band ahead of the Jingle Ball at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, December 2018. He went to that location in order to talk about some of the very cool gear, guitars, basses, amps and pedals they use to achieve the sounds that they have. A pop guitar rig is nothing to sneeze at and features many very cool and awesome pedals. The guitar person, Kai Smith, had the pedals there such as two Boss DM-1s, one upside down and one normal, a Strymon Blue Sky, a Boss Space Echo, a Zen Drive and other very cool pedals hooked through a Boss ES-8 switching system. HE also had some cool guitars there, such as the Fender Stratocaster, white one, and a Gibson Guitar.
Next, Billy talk to Matthew Carroll, the bass player of the group, who also sometimes plays 2 pianos during the show. HE was a nice man who had many different pedals such as Sansamp and other pedals. The fellows told Billy about life as a pop musician as opposed to being a rock musician.
