Here is my part for DisneySkiesStudios' mep, featuring our strong non/Disney ladies :3
This part of the song is wayyyyy too fitting with Kida oh my word!! I actually wished I had a longer part to fit everything I wanted in this xD
As far as the video goes, it's not so effectsy on this particular mep part compared to some others I do. The thumbnail is the most 'jaw-dropping part' hahaha But OH WELL. Works for me xD

Experiment #638 - Chiquito
- is a top-notch tamale chef (the most important ability, yepyepyep)
- has a high protective instinct that, like other alebrijes, allows it to guard and protect others. Mostly from abuse, whether that be animal or human or endangered habitats.
- its other trait is that it survives much like a plant does, recycling carbon into oxygen in parallel to the flora the experiment protects.
This is such a jumbled mess, I know xDDD
I was trying to juggle all the plots and important key points with all the stuff going on in my life too and it just wasnt happening. Almost decided not to do an entry, but during the last week, I got a lot of encouragement to do whatever I could and so here it is! All that I could fit into 5 days worth of editing :)
So if it looks rushed/is confusing, dont worry. Because it is xDDD
Lots of plots and scenes had to be cut entirely or shortened/hinted at instead. Which sadly, includes two reaaaaaaally big and important moments that heavily influence Carlos. While Im gonna try and do a bonus video at some point in the future with those scenes, I tried to hint at them a little in this entry
SO TO HELP CLARIFY:
1) While creating his experiment, Carlos confesses to Emilia that he likes her after he gets a little too close to her (LE GASP, I KNOW!!)
2) To which Emilia then opens up about her own feelings for him - albeit complicated. She then confides in Carlos her current living nightmare: her parents are murdered and her sister is missing... though she suspects that maybe she is in the care of their uncle.
3) Her full last words to him before they are interrupted are: Appreciate your family while you still have them, Carlos... you never know when you might lose them.
Personality Notes:
- Carlos is not a morning person (as you can probably guess XD)
His line at the beginning of the video means Let me sleep in peace!
- Carlos has definitely been feeling some feels for a special someone... can you guess who? ;)
- And so has Annika (tho she wont tell you that ;))
- The ones speaking during the blacked out part in the video without any facial connections are Mirela (purple) & Jim (yellow)
- babaero references back to Talas R1 video where she calls him playboy in Tagalog
- Carlos loves food (especially tamales). It doesnt take him long to decide on that as his experiments ability, but after some prodding and thinking, he adds in some more encompassing uses.
- Like any creator, Carlos mirrors himself a little bit in Chiquito. Besides them both sharing protective instincts, Carlos also tends to be a bit of a show off and doesnt apologize for being his own person. In this way, Chiquito is the same with his bright colors and sometimes rebellious attitude (the small be mighty and fierce ;))
- The reason Carlos chose 638s second ability stems from the big problems of violence (especially in Mexico City where Carlos is from) and the endangering of native animals and their habitats in Mexico
Editing Notes:
- The animation on the experiment image was done with the puppet tool - and was also my first time using that effect (DUN DUN DUN) Its so weird but cool??? Like why have I never used this before???
- Chiquito or 638 is made up of 4 different experiments from the Lilo & Stitch series: Finder (head), Melty (body/wings), Spats (ears), & Slugger (Tail). He is also made to look like a coati, which is a racoon-like animal native to Mexico, and is essentially an experimentally-made alebrije :3
- My favorite manip in all of this is my little hidden, dehydrated balls getting stored away. I DONT KNOW WHY, I JUST THINK THEY LOOK SO CUTE ^^
- This song would fit this so much better if you knew all the scenes that happen and it makes me so saddddddd
- also I am a dummy cause I thought itd be cool to change the star backgrounds in the lab to my own space pics... even tho it would literally save me hours of work since its already 100% fine as is :)
