DSS Mobile Security Deployments (MSD), special agents from U.S. Embassy Jordan and United States Department of Defense (DoD) personnel continue to play a pivotal role in diplomatic efforts in Syria. Our recent security support during U.S. Ambassador Tom Barrack's visits ensured a safe environment for conducting U.S. diplomacy, resulting in the American flag being raised at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Damascus for the first time since 2012.
