Saves 15 seconds compared to the inbounds route. On the other hand you have to do Gaping fog gate skip, which to me is a fate worse than death, but your mileage may vary.
Quit out when you're about halfway between the two metal bars on the ground. If you're too early you'll end up back on the stairs and can just try again. If you're too late and respawn inside the room, run back to around halfway up the stairs before retrying.

First trigger Centipedes cutscene, then quit out. Poopwalk into the fight and VERY carefully tap forwards until you gain camera control. The area between the fog gate and his AI trigger is extremely small, so arrows will just hit the gate behind you, and spells dont travel far enough. However, crossbows with sniper bolts and the hawk ring can do decent enough damage.")
